General Labor Rates

• For labor spent on a system that was not sold by Computition is $60/Hour
• For labor spent on a system that was sold by Computition is $50/Hour
• For priority labor add an additional $15/Hour. Priority labor is self explanatory and basically means that we get immediately start repairing or performing your service, overlooking your place in line.
• For labor spent on-site is $70/hour.

Data Save

A data save generally includes the backup of your Documents, Favorites, Pictures, Videos, Music, and your e-Mail. Any additional program data may be saved if you specify the program of interest. We'll backup your data to your choice of media. If you have a thumbdrive or external hard drive, bring them in, we can transfer data and even restore deleted pictures and other valuable documents. A data save generally runs around $50 on normal terms. Recovery of deleted data generally costs more depending on the skill required to retrieve your information.

Virus Removal

Virus removal is probably the most typical service required by our customers. Virus removal fees depend primarily on the difficulty of the virus. We take both time and effort into consideration when working with virus removal fees. Typically we only charge one hour of billable time, although we spend hours removing a single virus. We do this because our virus utilities often take an hour or more to do a single scan, and we run several scans on all infected machines. Virus Removal fees will range from a half hours labor up to two hours labor. Usually at the two hours labor mark we will call and discuss the virus with you, and mention that a fresh re-installation of the operating system is in order.

Re-installation of the Operating System

We generally only relate to this process if it's requested or if software damage done by the virus is beyond repair. During the re-installation we format your hard drive, which means we delete everything on your computer. We will have to backup your data (if necessary) and start from scratch. We then install your Windows Operating system (2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7). After installing your operating system we search the web for the appropriate drivers for your machine's hardware. After installing your hardware drivers we will do all the necesssary Microsoft updates. We always install Java, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Reader. These three programs are necessary for smoothly browsing the web. We then reinstall any programs that you brought in for us to install or that we can download from the web. We also re-install your antivirus for you and setup your e-Mail. If you don't have an antivirus, you may be interested in purchasing one from us. We do our best, so that you can go home, plug in your computer, and everythign will just work. We usually charge a flat rate for this service of $120. Note: data saving fees apply if you want us to save your data.
